CatchMan 3 testers required - Tuesday, 19 February 2008 at 10:59
Rokit Science has recently started development of the next generation of the CatchMan GIS platform.
In the past the mapping engine has been ESRI's MapObjects which whilst an admirable and fast platform, is not longer supported by ESRI.
Following the completion of the CatchMan Drainage tools, it was decided to move to ArcEngine which is the platform that ArcGIS (ArcMap etc) is built on.
All CatchMan tools will now be built as Add-ons to ArcEngine.
The advantages are a more powerful map engine, the ability to use existing ArcGIS licenses to run CatchMan, the ability for ArcGIS users to use the CatchMan Add-ons.
Please contact Peter Hudson at Rokit Science if you have an existing ArcGIS license and would be interested in testing the new CatchMan 3 prototype.
